My art practice consists of small investigations and open-ended collaborations. As if in a mystery in rewind, the clues preceding the crime, I follow the leads of questionable tour guides & outdated landmarks, making my home in the ambiguous terrain between looking for something and finding it. Here—like repeating the same word until it comes loose from its meaning (an errant sound, a free agent)—the familiar becomes foreign and calls out for a new name.

What has emerged slowly is the story of a place in flux, where edges are becoming centers and centers becoming edges—a place both accelerated and stuck in time, caught in a vortex, like a tire spinning in its groove, kicking up dust -- a giant yawn in the center of the state, forever waking from a dream of itself.
